BlueAura Technology Sdn Bhd ("BlueAura", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit blueaura.com.my, how we use it, and your rights — in compliance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and aligned with international privacy expectations.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information in two ways:

1.1 Information you provide

When you submit our contact form, request a demo, or email us, you voluntarily provide:

  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Product or service interest
  • Any details you include in your message

1.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, we automatically collect:

  • Pages visited, time on page, navigation paths
  • Approximate geographic location (country/region, derived from IP — we anonymise the IP itself)
  • Browser type, operating system, and device type
  • Referring website or search query (if available)
  • Interactions such as clicks and scrolls (for usability analysis)

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or demo request
  • Provide the information, products, or services you requested
  • Improve our website, products, and content based on aggregate usage patterns
  • Send occasional updates about BlueAura products and services (only if you opt in or are an existing client)
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-party services we use

The website uses the following third-party services, each of which processes limited data on our behalf:

3.1 Web3Forms (contact form delivery)

Contact form submissions are routed through Web3Forms, which forwards them to our inbox. Web3Forms processes the form fields you submit. See Web3Forms Privacy Policy.

3.2 Google Analytics 4 (usage analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. IP addresses are anonymised before being processed. Google Analytics does not capture form field contents or other personally identifiable information. See Google Privacy Policy.

3.3 Microsoft Clarity (usability analytics)

Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session recordings to help us improve page design. Form field inputs are masked by default and never transmitted. See Microsoft Privacy Statement.

3.4 Microsoft Azure (hosting)

The website and our products are hosted on Microsoft Azure (primarily Southeast Asia and East Asia regions). Azure provides infrastructure-level security, encryption, and compliance certifications.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses essential cookies for analytics and basic functionality. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the website remains functional without them, though analytics will not track your visit.

5. How long we keep your information

  • Contact inquiries: Retained for as long as needed to respond and follow up, typically up to 3 years.
  • Existing client data: Retained for the duration of the engagement plus legal/tax retention requirements.
  • Analytics data: Retained according to provider defaults (Google Analytics: 14 months by default; Clarity: 13 months).

6. Your rights

Under PDPA Malaysia and aligned regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
  • Object to certain processing activities
  • Lodge a complaint with the Department of Personal Data Protection Malaysia

7. Data security

We use industry-standard security practices: encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access control, audit logging, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure — if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you in line with regulatory requirements.

8. International transfers

Our hosting and third-party services may process data in jurisdictions outside Malaysia (e.g. United States for Google Analytics). We rely on standard contractual protections and the privacy frameworks of these providers.

9. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be communicated via our website.
